The Winter Lookbook

Land & Sea

November 1, 2026

Winter arrives differently in Devon. Shorter days, woodsmoke, salt in the air. The collection draws its colours from the land and the sea, flint and moss, peat and fern, the greys and blues of winter sea and sky. So we went looking for them.

We found both. Up at Glebe House, close to the land, where Hugo and Olive keep the fires lit and the table set with whatever the season gives. And down at Beer, a working fishing village on the coast, where the boats still go out through winter and life keeps time with the tide. The clothes belong in both. Rugged, heavy raglan coats built for the cold. Fisherman jumpers that carry the warmth and durability they were named for. Weighty wools and tweeds, knitwear to layer as the light goes, chore jackets put to work. Along the way we spent time with makers who live by the same rhythm, Ambrose among them, whose own story is live now.

It is a slower, plainer way of life, and the clothes suit it, by the coast or in the city. Made to be worn hard and kept for years.
